The devices are both 6.5" tall. The Baby Quasar Red's head is 1.25" in diameter, and it weighs less than 8 ounces. The Baby Quasar MD's head is 2.25" in diameter, and it weighs slightly more than 8 ounces.
Active Ingredients / Technology
The serum is a concentrated blend of sodium hyaluronate (salt form of hyaluronic acid), panthenol (Vitamin B5), glycolipids and algae extract. Sodium hyaluronate attracts and binds moisture to skin, panthenol aids in skin/tissue repair and hydration, glycolipids moisturize skin, and algae extract softens skin and restores its moisture balance.
The Baby Quasar Red and Baby Quasar MD use a proprietary light therapy technology called SequePulse to help improve skin's tone and texture. The technology emits 4 wavelengths of red, amber and infrared light, which increase blood flow and circulation, as well as stimulate collagen production and healing. In 6 weeks, the device can help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, pore size, rosacea and hyperpigmentation.
(Dermalogica doesn't guarantee that list is accurate, so you should also double check the package): Water (Aqua), Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Glycerin, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Algin, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Sea Water, Glycolipids, Linalool, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben.
The serum comes in an opaque bottle with a small opening to limit its exposure to light and air.
The devices are both made out of a durable aluminum with high quality electrical components, and they emit a red light. If you don't like the silver color, the Baby Quasar Red also comes in a pink tinted aluminum.
