Overview

A leader in America's skincare industry, Olay is known for great products at affordable prices. To ensure they were at the forefront of science and anti-aging technology with the Professional product line, Olay assembled the Olay Professional Advisory Board, a team of leading dermatologists and P&G scientists, to design and professionally test all of the ProX products. The ProX Deep Wrinkle Treatment is formulated to reinvigorate skin and get it to perform more like it did when you were younger. Containing the highest concentration of pro-retinol and niacinamide available through Olay, the ProX Deep Wrinkle Treatment penetrates deep into the skin to increase surface turnover and repair the moisture barrier. In addition to diminishing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots, it also improves skin's firmness, texture and tone. Olay claims that it is clinically proven to see anti-aging results in 28 days and the Discoloration Fighting Concentrate reduces appearance of discoloration in 8 weeks.

The ProX Deep Wrinkle Treatment is available in online drugstores or local drugstores for $47.

Product Report Card Grade

We give Olay’s Professional ProX Deep Wrinkle Treatment an A- because it is a great lightweight moisturizer that incorporates antioxidants and a high concentration of retinol (retinyl propionate) and niacinamide to rejuvenate skin. We love that it has a silky, smooth texture and that it is packaged appropriately to prevent light/air exposure from degrading its beneficial ingredients. While it is a great anti-aging moisturizer, we had to deduct points because it is slightly overpriced when compared to other drugstore anti-aging products that are just as effective (ex. Neutrogena).

Reputation

Olay Professional ProX Deep Wrinkle Treatment has received good online reviews from customers. In 2010, it received the award for best "Inexpensive Wrinkle Treatment" in InStyle Magazine. Olay Professional ProX Deep Wrinkle Treatment is still more expensive than typical drugstore creams, so it might make sense to try something cheaper first that also uses retinol technology.
