Golf Shoes : Question and Answer

Q:

What is the cheapest golf shoe?

A:

The cheapest golf shoes will be golf sandals or any traditional shoe that isn't waterproof (ex. mesh uppers) and/or doesn't have cleats. If you don't plan on wearing the shoes in very wet conditions, you really don't have to spend very much to get a good pair. However, higher quality golf shoes are generally more comfortable and more durable. They also can enhance your performance by stabilizing your hitting platform and allowing your foot to flex with the proper amount of torsion. Our suggestion is to get fitted for some styles you like by a professional in order to find out which ones are the most comfortable on your foot. Then, look around for that style on some discount golf websites. While you might not get exactly what you want in terms of color, you can get the same shoe for a significantly reduced price. Whatever you do, don't buy any cheap shoe that you haven't tried on and can't return. While some golf shoes might look like a bargain on the rack, you might not feel the same way walking around in them for four hours.
