Treadmills : Question and Answer

Q:

What is the cheapest treadmill?

A:

Manual treadmills, like the Stamina InMotion II (est. $158), are the cheapest treadmills available. In addition to being self-powered, they also lack many of the extra features found on higher-priced models like multiple incline settings, a heart rate monitor, TV/audio system, built-in fan, reading shelf, cup holder, etc. Although they are more affordable, manual treadmills tend to have less stable frames and shorter belts, which may make them unsuitable for some runners. If you are looking for an inexpensive treadmill, the Horizon T101 (est. $630) is the best value we have found in the budget treadmill category. It has a 2.25 CHP motor, about a 200-lb frame, a relatively good size belt, 9 preset workout programs, a built-in fan, hand-grip heart rate monitor, reading shelf and 2 cup holders.
